I’m currently working on a presentation/documentation on sensors in and around Logan. The goal for this documentation is to help the general public know what is and is not an ALPR. For some reason people see something they are unfamiliar with around a road is to immediately call it a Flock camera. I’m no fan of Flock cameras, but most of the stuff they are seeing isn’t a flock camera, or an ALPR at all.
While collecting images of cameras and sensors, I’ve found some strange placements of cameras.

I’m not sure what the make or model of this camera was, but the placement of it is weird. The coordinates for this specific camera are 41.379125, -113.998697, which is way out in the middle of the Utah/Nevada desert, hours away from any major cities.

And this camera, which is also at a state border, located just feet from the Utah/Idaho border. If you drive up to Preston, Idaho, you will pass this.
