Why do people insist they can cover a work associated cost from their own pocket? Your employer is supposed to pay you, not the other way around. Make your job work for you.
I had multiple conversations at work this past week where I had to tell employees not to pay for work items from their own pocket. Things that can be covered by our employer, and would be covered by the employer, but the employees insisted they could cover the cost ~ to be nice? ~
